Submission Guidelines

Call for Papers

Alekhni's Student Journal welcomes submissions from undergraduate and graduate students worldwide, with a special emphasis on supporting scholars from the Global Majority. We publish interdisciplinary research at the intersection of humanities and social sciences that addresses pressing global challenges.

Eligibility

  • Current undergraduate or graduate students
  • Recent graduates (within one year of graduation)
  • Collaborative work between students is encouraged
  • No geographical restrictions - global submissions welcome

Submission Requirements

Formatting Guidelines

  • Word count: 4,000-8,000 words (including references)
  • File format: .docx or .doc
  • Citation style: APA 7th edition
  • Double-spaced, 12pt font (Times New Roman or similar)
  • Include an abstract of 150-250 words
  • 5-7 keywords

Required Information

  • Title page with author details (name, institution, email)
  • Blinded manuscript without identifying information
  • Brief biographical statement (50 words)
  • Statement of originality and conflict of interest

Review Process

Our supportive peer-review process typically takes 8-12 weeks:

  1. Initial screening for scope and basic requirements
  2. Double-blind peer review by graduate student reviewers
  3. Constructive feedback provided to all authors
  4. Revision period with guidance from editors
  5. Final acceptance and copyediting
  6. Publication with DOI assignment
