Aims & Scope
Alekhni Student Journal publishes interdisciplinary research at the intersection of the humanities and social sciences. We're interested in work that takes ideas seriously and connects them to how people actually live: scholarship that moves across disciplinary lines rather than staying inside one.
What We're Looking For
Every issue is built around a set of focus themes, though we're always glad to receive strong work that falls outside them. See "General Articles" below. Our recurring areas of interest are:
Health & Wellbeing
Research on physical, mental, and social wellbeing, including how health is experienced, understood, and unequally distributed across communities.
Inequality & Systemic Injustice
Work examining structural inequalities and injustice, and (just as importantly) the ways people resist, negotiate, and push back against them.
Cooperation & Social Life
Studies of how people organize, collaborate, and build solidarity with one another: the everyday and institutional ways communities cooperate.
General Articles
Alongside each issue's focus theme, we always reserve space for general submissions. If your research sits within the humanities or social sciences but doesn't fit neatly into a current theme, we still want to see it.
Who Can Submit
Alekhni is open to school students of all ages, anywhere in the world. We don't gatekeep by institution or academic level. We care about the quality of your thinking and your willingness to engage in the review process. See ourSubmission Guidelines for details on eligibility and formatting.
